
Essential Oils for Digestive stimulant (Laxative):
These essential oils may be helpful in stimulating the nerves in the gut to increase bowel movements.
Essential oils can act as a digestive stimulant when diluted with proportional vegetable oils (carrier oil) and massaged onto the abdomen area gently. Some can help with constipation and relax the digestive area muscles to loosen the bowel for movement.
Examples of essential oils that are helpful in as a digestive stimulant:
- Fennel seed is a powerful digestive stimulant that can act as a laxative when ingested, effectively treating constipation quickly. It is most effective as a digestive stimulant when mixed with a small amount of carrier oil and massaged onto the abdomen. Do this two to three times a day as needed.
- Tarragon Essential Oil is a digestive stimulant. It helps reduce flatulence, calms nervous digestion, and reduces emotional cravings.
- Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) helps support a healthy digestive system, acting as a digestive stimulant to relieve symptoms of indigestion.
